Spring has finally graced us with its presence here in Upstate New York! While many of you may have been enjoying warmer days for a while, we’re just beginning to emerge from a long, frosty winter, embracing the full effect of April showers. And with the promise of warmer weather comes a craving for all things fresh, light, and wonderfully cool. Forget the heavy winter meals; my kitchen is now buzzing with ideas for homemade ice cream, bright lemon cakes, and, most excitingly, refreshing frozen treats like these incredible Berry Greek Yogurt Breakfast Pops.

The Ultimate Solution for Busy Breakfasts and Healthy Snacking
Do your mornings often feel like a frantic rush? Are you constantly searching for quick, nourishing breakfast options or healthy snack ideas for yourself and your family? I certainly am! With two hands enthusiastically raised, I’m always on the lookout for solutions that make breakfast effortless—something truly grab-and-go for my husband and me, and nutritious snacks for our little one. The struggle for convenient, yet wholesome, food choices is real, especially when life moves at a fast pace.
That’s where these delightful Berry Greek Yogurt Breakfast Pops come into play. This recent creation, featuring the creamy goodness of Dannon Greek Yogurt and the natural sweetness of the new Smucker’s Fruit & Honey Spreads, has genuinely simplified our morning routine. These pops are more than just a sweet treat; they’re a powerhouse of nutrition, brimming with protein, vibrant fresh fruit, and fiber-rich oats. They offer a satisfying and utterly delicious option for a quick breakfast on the run or a revitalizing afternoon snack. Crafting Homemade Frozen Treats: Simple, Satisfying, and Pure
If you’ve followed my culinary adventures, you know I have a deep affection for crafting frozen pops right in my own kitchen. Past favorites like my mango kiwi lemonade popsicles and watermelon mint popsicles are testaments to how incredibly easy and quick it is to whip up these refreshing delights. The beauty of homemade treats lies in knowing exactly what goes into them – no hidden sugars, artificial flavors, or unnecessary additives. Plus, the possibilities for flavor combinations are truly endless, allowing you to get creative with whatever ingredients you have on hand or seasonal produce you adore.
For these particular Berry Greek Yogurt Breakfast Pops, I opted for Dannon Light & Fit Greek Yogurt. It’s an excellent choice, offering a substantial 12 grams of protein per serving, which contributes significantly to that satisfying feeling that keeps hunger at bay. However, the true flexibility of this recipe means you can confidently use any of your favorite Dannon yogurts. Integrating yogurt into frozen pops is a brilliant way to effortlessly infuse extra nutrition and that irresistible creamy texture into any treat, transforming a simple indulgence into a healthier, more wholesome experience.

The Perfect Blend: Oats, Berries, and Natural Sweetness
To elevate these pops from good to extraordinary, consider adding a few key ingredients that boost both flavor and nutritional value. Start with a generous portion of old-fashioned oats for a satisfying chew and an extra dose of fiber. Next, layer in your favorite fresh fruits – a medley of strawberries and blueberries creates a classic triple berry profile that’s both vibrant and delicious. Finally, for that perfect touch of sweetness without any refined sugars, a tablespoon of Smucker’s Triple Berry Fruit & Honey Spread is a game-changer. I’ve been absolutely loving the new Fruit & Honey spreads from Smucker’s, not just in these pops, but also spread generously on my morning toast. What I appreciate most is their all-natural composition, relying solely on honey for sweetness. They’ve become a fantastic addition to my daily yogurt bowls and parfaits, and they truly shine in these breakfast pops by eliminating the need for any added sugar. As a parent, finding healthy, naturally sweetened options for my toddler is always a win, and these spreads fit the bill perfectly.
The combination of creamy Greek yogurt, hearty oats, and bursting fresh berries, naturally sweetened with honey, creates a balanced and incredibly satisfying treat. These ingredients work in harmony to provide sustained energy, essential nutrients, and a burst of flavor that will leave you feeling refreshed and energized, whether you’re starting your day or need a pick-me-up.

Berry Greek Yogurt Breakfast Pops
20 minutes
Ingredients for Delicious Pops
- 1 cup Dannon Light Greek Yogurt (or your preferred Dannon Greek yogurt variety)
- ½ cup whole milk (or any milk of your choice, dairy or non-dairy)
- ½ cup old-fashioned oats, plus extra for topping (granola can also be used for added crunch)
- 2 tablespoons Smucker’s Berry Fruit & Honey Spread
- 1/3 cup fresh fruits of your choice (I highly recommend a mix of strawberries and blueberries for vibrant flavor)
Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a medium-sized mixing bowl, thoroughly whisk together the Greek yogurt and milk until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. Next, incorporate ¼ cup of the oats, whisking gently to combine them into the yogurt base. Finally, add the Smucker’s Berry Fruit & Honey Spread and gently swirl it into the mixture. The goal is to create beautiful ribbons of fruit spread, so avoid mixing it in completely.
- Evenly distribute the remaining oats into the bottom of your popsicle molds. Fill each mold approximately halfway with the prepared yogurt mixture. Then, carefully add the fresh fruit into each mold. Finish filling the molds with the remaining yogurt mixture. If desired, sprinkle a few extra oats on top for garnish. Insert a popsicle stick firmly into the center of each mold. Transfer the molds to the freezer and allow them to freeze for a minimum of 6 hours, or ideally, overnight, ensuring they are completely solid.
- Once you’re ready to enjoy these delightful treats, carefully release the frozen yogurt pops from their molds. A quick dip of the mold in warm water for a few seconds can help with easy release. Serve immediately and savor every refreshing bite!
Helpful Notes & Tips
Note:
- For ultimate convenience, I recommend releasing all the frozen yogurt pops from their molds at once and storing them individually in freezer-safe bags or containers. This makes them incredibly easy to grab-and-go throughout the busy week!
- Feel free to substitute the old-fashioned oats with your favorite homemade granola for an extra layer of texture and flavor. This also allows for more customization based on your preferences.
- Experiment with different berry combinations! Raspberries, blackberries, or even a mixed berry blend would be equally delicious.
